Guide To Cat LitterWhat Type Of Cat Litter Should You Get?There are so many brands of cat litter that trying to pick the best one for your cat maybe a difficult task. When you are in a pet store and you are about to pick a cat litter, you may not have any idea which one is good. All you can do is think that the item that is more expensive and sounds good will be the best. We all know that this is not always the case. A lot of the inexpensive items are often better than the expensive ones because the inexpensive items do not spend a lot of money on advertisements. A great cat litter that is good is a non-clumping clay litter. These are usually made from natural clay and consist of dried out minerals that turned into granules. These absorb cat urine very easily while also reducing its odor. But there we also have choices. We can put additives if there is still some odor left. These additives help purify the smell or reduce it even more. The cat urine will mix in with the clay and that will be it. It is very easy and doesn’t require a lot of work to clean.
Other Cat Litter That You Should KnowClay Litter That I LikeThere are many more types of clay litter. One of the items that I like is clumping clay litter. These are usually made from bentonite clay. These are called clumping clay litter because the clay will stick with each other when it comes into contact with cat urine. The clay and the cat urine will turn into a ball and it is easy to clean it. We can just take away the clumped up clay litter that looks like a ball. This is one of the easiest ways I know to clean cat litter. Of course there are some other types also that you should be aware of. If you do not like clay litter then I suggest getting a silica dioxide gel litter. How this particular item works is by absorbing the cat’s urine with its granules. The granules will have tiny pores and can hold a lot of moisture. These are pretty good also but I still like the clumping litter. The thing is that, the granules also have a maximum amount of moisture it can hold. So what happens when that maximum amount is reached? It won’t be able to absorb any more moisture and the urine will end up at the bottom of the litter box.
